The grounded reading
A political economy in space
The harvest externalizes a moral question: what happens when a powerful institution values people only for what can be extracted from them? The comparison works at the level of commodification. It cannot be used as evidence for a literal biological conspiracy.
Genes do not establish reincarnation
A genetic match does not scientifically demonstrate the return of a previous person, memories or soul. The film makes recurrence part of its fictional law. In real life, genetic information, legal status and personal identity are distinct concepts.
